Acting is a craft; as with any skill, it can be honed and developed.
I believe in clear and practical communication, with a focus on active creative exploration. I don't believe there are secrets in this craft, just down-to-earth approaches that allow the imagination to free itself. In refining the foundations of an actor's approach, each artist is capable of developing a no-nonsense process that will allow them to tackle scripts and scenes, ultimately releasing into a state of creative play.
While each class is tailored to your aims, some examples of my past tutoring work include:
- Screen test coaching
- Drama school auditions
- Ongoing scenework/monologue work
- Drama for confidence in public speaking
I have worked with both professional actors and students in school settings.
Since training at the Actors' Centre Australia and Ecole Philippe Gaulier in France, I have worked as a performer across Australia. I've toured Australia twice with Bell Shakespeare, have guest starred in Harrow (ABC TV), and have worked as a guest artist in successive years with NIDA's Festival of Emerging Artists. Alongside this, I've worked as an acting teacher and workshop facilitator since 2018, teaching with NIDA Open, Bell Shakespeare, and the Wollongong High School of Performing Arts.
Travel charge may apply dependent on distance of location from Wollongong. Please contact me to discuss.
