My method of teaching stems from my experience as a student at university for 6 years as well as working in laboratories under doctoral's, therefore I have found in my experience, I learned better when large blocks of information was disseminated into granular forms with real-life examples to correlate along with what I was expected to learn.
I base my classes on covering contents essential to their course by providing a break-down of notes to give a further explanation with the aid of examples through diagrams and conversation. I am a strong believer in not regurgitating of notes from a text-book but to conceptually understand them.
I have a BioMedical degree from Otago University majoring in Anatomy and Physiology. During those years I have worked in a laboratory setting and currently enrolled in my final year of Economics at the ANU. My teaching experience extends to group mentoring at University in my prior degree and with my passion to teach what knowledge I have acquired I would love to teach high school students. My strengths are mainly in the fields of science, predominantly biology as well as chemistry and physics at first year university level. In addition to this, with my current and final year of Economics at the ANU I am keen to share all that I have learned to any student considering a pathway to the Economics field.
