I set different plans and targets for different students depending on their levels of Chinese. Besides, I like to communicate with students about Chinese Movies and books. In my opinion, it’s easier to learn languages based on your interests. Furthermore, I like arts and playing music. I would love to have conversation with students about these in Chinese. These can help improve your listening and oral Chinese.
In terms of written Chinese, I will make up some topics for students to write about their opinions or ask students to write short reflections of a movie/poetry. I will also encourage students to write journals/diaries in Chinese.
I am studying Bachelor of Science (Advanced) at the ANU. I was born and grew up in China until 15-year-old. Chinese Literature was always my favourite subject. After I came to Australia, I took ATAR Chinese and it was one of my top 4 ATAR subjects.
