I'm a very calm and patient teacher, yet am proactive and work hard with a student to help them achieve their potential. My teaching method is quite traditional to ensure one learns the fundamentals of both music and the basis of playing music before they attempt to play a piece. That involves learning what notes are and how to identify them on a staff, learning rhythm and how to count, and proper hand technique and coordination.
I've been playing piano since I was 5, currently studying for my Associate Diploma in Piano. I have a deep passion and appreciation for both classical music and it's theory, and connecting with students on a personal level. I have taught a variety of primary school and high school subjects for the past 3 years and put my 100% in everything I do.
Sunil is one of the most genuinely hardworking people I know. He pours his heart and soul into all the work that he does and rightfully takes pride in his astounding accomplishments. He was an astute and eager leader in our school's Student Representative Body and always seemed able to make friends with ease, regardless of their background or who they were. It was not uncharacteristic of him to see him chatting amiably with an odd group of people from all walks of life. Aside from this, he is also the single most charitable person I know, and always has the kindest intentions in all his work. All it takes is a quick Google search of the time that he raised thousands of dollars for the Sydney Seven Bridges Walk in 2015.
It is his ability to hold a conversation with and create lasting connections with all sorts of people that astounds me, and makes me certain that regardless of who you are, Sunil would be an amazing teacher and mentor for you.
