I teach 'one-on-one' -- as every student deserves individual attention. I have taught on High School level and University Level. University of Notre Dame and New York University for two examples.
First classes involve knowledge of how our cameras work, i.e., shutter speed, aperture, depth of field, perspective, etc.. Although with the new HD digital cameras, and i phones, etc.. most technical details are automatic ---- but the student should at least be aware of the basics first.
That said, my concentration is on the basics of portrait lighting. For, not matter what format camera one uses, a professional knowledge of, HOW TO LIGHT THE SUBJECT, is paramount. Both indoor/studio and outdoor lighting techniques are covered.
Mr. Hart just received his 20 year pin from NYU's /SPS, teaching portrait photography

here In NYC for over 30 years. His work has been seen in The New York Times, Camera 35 Magazine,
