I like to teach in a relaxed less formal and casual manner using videos and presentations and where students can interact and discuss subjects as they require. Many camera and post processing techniques involve people getting hands on experience which this style of teaching suits best. I find that often students will learn at a different pace to each other and rather than hold a class back and embarrass a student, I will offer additional tuition to help them keep up.
I am a experienced engineer and ICT Manager that has always been involved with Photography. I am experienced at teaching digital camera fundamentals, photographic techniques and basic to intermediate post processing techniques. I currently teach a small group of new photographers how to select suitable images, edit them for the purpose of entering club and other local competitions. I am also teaching basic skills to new photographers as required by this group which have included, resizing, renaming and saving images, image sharpness techniques and how to recognise what caused it when they go wrong, what judges are looking for and what judges say and what is meant by their terminology.
The free lesson can be via webcam and will only cover only fundamental concepts. With regards to lessons, my first preference would be to attend the students location and I would definitely prefer to conduct lessons in person rather than via webcam. This is because it is sometimes important to give the student practical examples and physically see their progress. However, I can host lessons at my place and via webcam if this is preferred.

I can certainly recommend David's ability and integrity as aSuperprof. He is very passionate and knowledgeable about photography and his teaching style is accomplished. David's teaching style is student-centred and he ensures that every student understands and can demonstrate new knowledge and skills. Why can I vouch for him? Because he taught me and I actually acquired knowledge and skills quickly. Bravo! Thanks Dave!
