My name is Jemma, and I give lessons to peers and relatives (who over the years have spread the word regarding my tutoring skills). My main areas include GCSE and A-level. But I got a high level degree so have recently been expanding to tutoring degree class students.
I start off by giving lesson objectives. This I then go back to once the lesson is coming to an end. The lesson itself may include name games, so that individuals stay engaged throughout - I.e. I like to write quizzes for each lesson as to ascertain that students understand the topic and keywords that are essential to getting a good grade overall.
My methodoly is quite simple - I like to have a trusting relationship with all of my students. But I do require dedication to learn on their part.
I have been tutoring peers for the last 5 years (30+ students). Each student who studied with me achieved a B grade or higher at both GCSE and A-level. I attended many lectures at university (some including interviewing prisoners about abnormal behaviour!)
