I achieved an A* grade at GCSE so hope to help pas on my knowledge to younger pupils. In my spare time I volunteer coaching the junior cricket team at my club so I am very child/teen friendly and believe the best way to learn is to enjoy the subject you are learning.
I have helped my younger siblings and their friends to pass their Maths GCSE last year, I found it difficult at first to get the information across so I tried to make fun activities rather than tedious question after question.

My main interest is sport and fitness. I have been a member of my local cricket team for thirteen years, progressing from the junior teams up to the first eleven. Being part of the team has helped me gain confidence and belief in my abilities as well as improving my teamwork and communication skills. Aged fifteen, I was named captain and led the team to the league title- only losing one match all season. Being captain helped me to learn how to cope under pressure and take responsibility for my decisions. I also improved my management and communication skills because it was vital I kept everyone focused even if we faced difficulties during the game.
I now play for the first and second teams at my club having different roles within each team. As part of the first team, I focus mainly on my own game and there is little pressure on me to perform whereas for the second team , I am one of the more senior players so take the responsibility of having to play well every match. Furthermore, we have many younger players so it is my role to encourage and help them to improve where possible.
