I'd like to continue the tradition of private classes or small classes with fewer students at a time so I can provide more attention to students and I can work the lessons around them as opposed to throwing them in to a systematic routine which is less enjoyable I believe for the student. Although I have only taught adults in the past, I have a background in working with children with the past 5 years working in After School Care.
I grew up learning Martial Arts in private classes where I was able to receive a lot of attention. This is something I really enjoy as the student receives a lot of attention, and can learn at a much more smooth and adaptive pace. I've learnt styles from Karate, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling, Judo, Ju Jitsu, Kung Fu and overall I can summarize it as Mixed Martial Arts. Ultimately though, self defence is the main criteria, to be able to defend, protect and empower oneself from harm. Martial Arts is a passion for me and taught me not just self-discipline but empowerment of my body and the desire to protect it whether it be from harm of even ill-health. It's been a wonderful outlet and continues to help me maintain a healthy and fit body.
