About the lesson

My goal is not just to help students overcome problems but to help them become more proficient at learning. The first steps are mental...becoming comfortable with the sensation that the first try can feel awful. but eventually it becomes easy. It helps to identify and fix fundamentals that may have been missed and understand the big picture in simple and interesting terms without lots of jargon. I help students understand different ways of learning, what works well for them and teach them how to extract information from various resources and how to work with tough problems to get to the answer. I am a strong believer is repeating different types of problems over a period of time, gradually increasing difficulty. Students who learn this way, are less intimidated, gain more practice (which reduces mistakes) and remember what they learn. Finally, I focus on how to apply concepts and apply a number of techniques for solving word problems and checking answers.

About Noah

I hated maths growing up and was terrible at it- but eventually realised it wasn't that difficult once I learned how to learn, and I received A's in Uni. Chemical engineering demands the ability to apply very difficult and abstract problems in both science and maths, and has helped me break problems down into manageable steps for students. My mission is to help those who struggle with maths and science and I focus on the simple to solve the hard. Students I have taught have turned their performance around from D's to A's.
