My teaching style focusses on application based learning, accompanied by development of fundamental skills and concepts, tailored to areas that you are having trouble with. A typical lesson would involve attempting practice problems, as well as discussing concepts to reinforce student understanding, alongside developing methods to approach and solve problems.
I am a 2nd year PhD student studying Inorganic Chemistry at JCU. I hold a first class Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree with a focus in Synthetic Organic Chemistry.
I have over 4 years of experience tutoring chemistry for a range of disciplines, both professionally through JCU (CH1020, CH1001 and CH1002), as well as privately, and received great feedback, as well as strong student improvement in both settings.
