Engineering and arts student passionately invested in high school English tutoring. Dedicated with a history of work experience and a background in IB.
Methodology
My teaching philosophy is to always put the student first. Having experienced a multiplicity of student learning styles, I am always prepared for lessons with my own personal teaching materials.
For older students especially, I often find that they approach me with work or texts, and we tailor the lesson to suit their current needs.
I am experienced at conducting both structured and free-flowing lessons depending on the student and their engagement.
Background
I am a civil engineering undergraduate student, graduating with top marks in English Literature in the IB (International Baccaulaureate) program.
I have been tutoring for over a year with experience in HSC and IB content. As a mentor and tutor, I have taught over 20 kids and have seen their improvement over time.
It has been incredibly rewarding, which has vivified my love of English and teaching alike.

School experience: Mentoring and coaching of students in mathematics, writing and debating for 2 years. I was privileged enough to be Debating Captain that immersed me in an important leadership position in the school as well. I was the inaugural founder of both the debating and writing club and I ran both clubs consistently throughout my final years of school.
Achievements: International Baccaulaureate, High School Physics Prize (internal), Debating Captainship, Surf Life Saving Bronze Medallion, Bronze Duke of Edinburgh.
