Rebecca believes in tailoring each tutorial to meet the specific needs of each individual student. The tutorials will be driven by the goals of the student, with contributions from Rebecca in order to create a roadmap to successfully meet those goals.
Alumna from The University of Melbourne, graduating with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Environmental Science. Rebecca is passionate about environmental conservation, and motivated to educate students about natural sciences, particularly chemistry, biology, and environmental science.
Rebecca completed VCE in 2014, graduating as Academic Proxime accessit Dux, finishing first in the following VCE classes; Biology, Chemistry, English Literature, and Physical Education, and second in Mathematics (Methods). Rebecca completed Environmental Science (VCE) in year 11. Rebecca actively contributed as a student to the school community, engaging in extra curriculum activities including; Jazz Band (Flute/Piano), School Sports (athletics, swimming, netball), and member of the Environment and sustainability society, whilst maintaining A+ grades, and understands the importance of working hard as a student to reach personal academic goals.
Rebecca completed her Bachelor of Science (Environmental Science) at the University of Melbourne, and studied a number of interdisciplinary studies spanning from Health Sciences to Environmental Science, with subjects including: biochemistry, chemistry, physics, biology, data analysis, ecology, marine botany and ecosystem management, geography, earth and soil sciences, hydrology, paleoecology; environmental politics, governance and sustainability; environmental law, vegetation conservation and management, forestry, and climate change.
Rebecca has a particular interest in effecting positive societal changes regarding our relationship with the natural environment and hopes to increase awareness of environmental values through transparent research, scientific interrogations, community engagement, and education.
As a Botanist Rebecca has undertaken a number of on-site Biodiversity Assessments, which requires a keen understanding of ecosystem dynamics, and plant identification. This role involves extensive scientific reporting requirements, including the preparation of Land Management Plans, Biodiversity Assessments, Flora and Fauna Assessments, Letters of Advice, and Construction Environmental Management Plans.
Biodiversity Offsets Coordinator

In this role Rebecca managed several projects involving the establishment of Biodiversity Offset sites. These projects had a range of budget values, and strict deadlines, requiring attentive maintenance of key stakeholder relationships, developing Rebecca’s time management skills.

Throughout Rebecca’s time here she gained experience in scientific research, environmental stewardship, nursery management, silviculture, GIS, stakeholder engagement, and flora and fauna assessments.
