About Steph
For so many people, improving their English is the key to increasing their opportunities in life. I want to help as many people as possible to achieve their goals!
I was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, and am a native English speaker. I began my English teaching career in Zanzibar, working in schools and vocational training centers. I then moved to Malaysia to work in an English Language Center where I taught General English for life and work, Exam Preparation courses (including IELTS) and Business English. More recently, back home in Melbourne, I have taught ELICOS (intensive courses for overseas students) and had a wonderful time meeting students from all around the world.
In addition to my Certificate in TESOL, I also have a Master of Applied Learning and Teaching and am a qualified Secondary School teacher.
I believe that the two main ingredients of a great lesson are (1) taking the time to get to know your students and (2) making sure the lesson contents are interesting, well-structured, and suited to the students' level of English.
