I like to stay task focused and start with a really solid understanding of the exact requirements of an assignment or task, and then encourage discussion and feedback from there. I never want to spoon-feed the answers, more help my students develop their own sense of critical thinking. I try to strike that balance between letting the creativity emerge and flourish, and then coming back to the task sheet and making sure we're working towards an end result that hits the criteria, but is also something they can be personally proud of.
I have been tutoring high school students for over 3 years, and specialise in tutoring English and Drama (subjects I came first in Year 12 for and have a huge passion for). I have also performed and studied Shakespeare in particular for 2 years. I also work as a Freelance writer, producing essays, articles, surveys, blog posts, and scripts. My studies in general have been varied including everything from a Bachelor of Psychology to a Bachelor of Musical Theatre, and the consequential academic experience has helped sharpen my skills at honing in on the exact requirements of a task and writing it with a creative flare. I love the chance to share this knowledge and provide students with the tools and sense of fun they need to tackle whatever assessments come their way.
