Experienced maths tutor (2+ years) offering lessons in Oakleigh and surrounding suburbs
Methodology
I base my teaching structure on the curriculum guidelines at the appropriate grade level, to ensure there are no gaps in learning, whilst also focusing on specific areas which the student is struggling with or wants to extend their knowledge in. I aim to ensure that students are confident in an area of knowledge before moving on, refreshing knowledge in later lessons by providing questions which summarise topics covered. I usually design the questions during the lesson and work through them with the student, then I get them to complete the work themselves.
Background
I have been providing private tutoring services in maths and english since 2016, acquiring over 200 hours experience. I have previously taught students ranging from grades 2 to 10. I completed VCE last year, including the subject Mathematical Methods, and am currently studying a Bachelor of Arts at Monash University.
