My philosophy as an educator involves the student playing an active role in their learning using project-based learning (PBL). Project-based learning is an approach to teaching that focuses primarily on having students engage in explorations of real-world problems and challenges. Through these explorations, they develop their content knowledge, but also develop solutions to problems. This approach to teaching functions to engage students that may be disinterested in traditional content because it allows them to identify problems in their community or the world at large that they want to solve.

He is a highly versatile finance professional with over 20 years of diverse financial management and accounting experience. He is a project controls specialist and manages a team of financial analysts in managing 1.5B in proposed project costs across roughly 135 complex projects. I am writing to express my interest in the online teaching/tutoring position. I currently hold a DM Degree
(Doctor of Management), with focus on organizational Behavior from the University of Maryland
University College. I completed my interdisciplinary doctoral dissertation utilizing a systematic
review that employed a meta-ethnographic approach involving evidence-based research that drew
upon research evidence across a range of business and management disciplines. The subject matter
of my research focused on employee voice. The purpose that underscored this research sought to
determine whether certain types of perceived employee voice behaviors lead to specific managerial
attributions concerning the employee’s performance, and in turn, whether these managerial
reactions have an influence on employee decisions to speak up or remain silent.
Although I have no direct experience teaching in an educational environment, I do encompass 25
plus years of practical accounting and finance experience. This experience includes engagements
that involved the training and educating of stakeholders, peers, and subordinates that can be
fundamentally applied in a classroom environment. A brief summary of this experience includes:

the student with a situation and/or setting in which to apply that skillset. Students should be
prepared with the practical skill on how to apply accounting and financial principles to specific
situations within a range of conditions.
