My teaching method is very proactive. I like to hold verbal discussions where students can write their own notes that they will more easily understand and can ask questions/ for elaboration on concepts that they are not quiet getting. I take a very hands on approach to learning and will set writing/ reading tasks for my students as I believe the easiest way to improve in English is continual practice.
I am a current Bachelor of Education student studying in Canberra who is looking to enhance my practical teaching skills while sustaining my study. I have 4 years tutoring experience in English and Humanities subjects and am a flexible, well presented person.

Kirsty and I were both in the same year of high school, up until my final year I wasn't a good student and didn't try in school. My writing was bad and I didn't understand any of the techniques used in English analysis. Her style of teaching allows you to not just learn a concept but put that concept into practice and get detailed and concise feedback. For example, if I were to give her an essay draft. She would highlight areas where I could have used stronger techniques and wording. Explaining the why's and hows of English writing. If you are a student who is dedicated to achieving the best you can in English, I cannot recommend Kirsty enough as an English tutor.
