About Alex
With a degree in French and Linguistics from the University of Southampton in the UK, I spent a year living and studying in France. Passionate about language, as a means of communication and expression, encouraging students to feel empowered in their language learning is so important to me. I enjoy developing creative new learning tools, tailored to each student's particular learning style, and bringing a sense of fun to such a rich and interesting subject. Learning a new language can be intimidating and confusing so for me it's key to ensure the students develop their own confidence with it and feel empowered to keep sticking with it through the hard times and realize their true potential.

I enjoy bringing the French language to life, lifting the words off the page and finding new ways to learn, specific to each student's learning styles. Using the curriculum as a basis for what we focus on, and choosing the topics that are being covered in the classroom, illustrating the vocabulary in a way that ensures the students feel confident and empowered means they take ownership of their education. With help and guidance along the way of course.
