About Vimbayi
I'm wrapping up my freshman year of college. I'm an anthropology major and a biology minor, interested in ultimately working in healthcare and social justice. There are many aspects of biology that I find very interested, including genetics, anatomy, and ecology. After going through the process of learning and dealing with many biology courses myself, I would love to help younger students in whatever way I can!
I have a high school diploma, Advanced Regents diploma, and a Scholar's Certificate for taking at least six AP/IB courses at my high school. I was in the top 15 of my class, and I also was involved in the National Honor Society, where I volunteered to tutor students in geometry, chemistry, and English. I'm working to get my Bachelors of Arts now.

I would love to work with students in elementary school, middle school, and high school. Having taken both Regents and AP biology, I am familiar and comfortable with teaching both. Being more of a visual and kinesthetic myself, I often will use diagrams and matching exercises to help students with science. I also have a surplus of biology videos saved that are not only educational, but entertaining to watch. I also like to look at the bigger picture and connect or compare what is currently being taught to something else in life. I find that analogies often help clarify the information, as well as allow the student to retain more of it.
