Fully qualified, passionate primary school teacher, who can support young students who may be struggling to grasp some basic literacy and numeracy concepts in the mainstream teaching environment.

Methodology

I design lessons that are intended to be engaging and challenging with a focus on gradual release to build confidence in my students. I take a keen interest in getting to know my students, likes and dislikes, learning preferences and I endeavour to make learning exciting and help students to feel a sense of accomplishment.

Background

I am a qualified primary school teacher with 12 years classroom experience. I also have a background in psychology through earlier university studies and have a good understanding of child development and different learning styles and differentiated teaching techniques to support students who need support in grasping concepts. I build good rapport with students by determining their strengths and weaknesses through the teaching and learning cycle and discovering the most appropriate method for helping them reach their full potential. I have developed literacy and numeracy programs that cater to all abilities including students with learning difficulties, physical disabilities or students that just need a bit of additional support to reach their full potential.
