About Adrian
So I'm Adrian. I'm a pretty ordinary person, except that I have an obsession for History. I believe if people were taught by more enthusiastic teachers, most people would be obsessed too.
It gets confusing and muddled the further back on the timeline you go, so that's why I'm here to help guide you to the right places to understand it. You just need to know where to go and how to interpret the materials and then suddenly you'll start to see all the patterns and links that lead us to where we are at the present.

I can teach a lesson for up to an hour. I'd employ a range of visual and written materials to engage the student towards the subject matter. With History as a particular subject, I focus on the social history of a particular time period and give context about what living in that time was like for individuals (using a range of sources). I also provide context for the larger event topics such as wars and natural disasters. Depending on what they are learning at school, I can adjust my tutorials to suit these.
I can tutor students from any age between 10 and 21 (Year 6 to First Year University) and will offer them topics based on what is age-appropriate to them.
I have previously tutored students at Motueka High School in historical subjects involving New Zealand/Aotearoa and the world's countries. The topics we covered were World War I and II, the Land Wars period, English/British history between 1600 to the present.
