Teaching methodology for new course contents (For Year 10s, 11s, and 12s):
-Analogies to broaden the student's perspective on a fresh new idea.
-Related videos played to establish a solid understanding of upcoming concepts
-Teaching will be thorough and steady-paced to ensure that student has a firm grasp on new concepts, and to instill confidence in the student.
-Mini revision tests to see how adept one is at previously learnt concepts that will play a part in development of a comprehensive understanding of the new course content.
-Up-to-date material in accordance with the updated course curriculum will be taught.
Revision methodology of course materials (NEAR EXAMS/TESTS, applicable to Year 11s and 12s)
-**PREMIUM: [FOR MATHEMATICS METHODS, CHEMISTRY & HUMAN BIOLOGY ATAR] Cards-system will be used ( ie E,D,C,B and A cards) exposing students a wide range of test questions from easy to 99 ATAR level difficulty. Certain cards will be set as homework, while certain cards will be done during the tuition under time constraint.
-FOR HUMAN BIOLOGY & PHYSICAL EDUCATION ATAR: Oral presentations of questions, ie verbally answering questions. Feedback and corrections are given and made immediately.
-For ENGLISH ATAR: 20 to 60 minutes interval writing practices, where feedback is given on the spot!
Revision of course materials (NEAR EXAMS/TESTS, applicable to Year 10s)
-FOR MATHS & SCIENCE: (as above) oral presentations and Cards-system
-FOR ENGLISH: test-like interval writing conditions with immediate feedback.
Questions can be asked, if there are any uncertainties, by the student anytime throughout the duration of the tutoring. I believe that it is core to make sure my students have a solid foundation before progressing on to more in-depth concepts.
