For me, it is essential to work with you on concrete projects according to your day-to-day interests.
I build all my lessons from an action-based perspective: I like to integrate games into the phases of my lessons to make them fun and interactive.
I use the spiral teaching method: a subject is seen the first time in a determined context, put aside for a moment, and then studied again in another context in more detail. This method makes sense because we can cover the same material many times without it feeling repetitive.
As a hobby, I like to draw cartoons and I try to incorporate these into my lessons.
Bonjour! My name is Sarah and I come from Belgium. I have a Bachelor of teaching French as a foreign language and I have started to give French lesson since 2012 during language summer camp with kids.
My first full time job was to teach French to small groups of adults and I also worked for a while in secondary schools in Melbourne. I love teaching and the challenge of finding something that will meet the needs and interests of my students.
I have a lot of experience teaching French around the world, and can bring a lot of insight to the students on the culture of âla Francophonieâ and the French language as I am a native French speaker myself.
I also love sport, I play cricket every Thursday night and Sunday morning in Clifton hill.

Perfect! Sarah is a wonderful teacher, she made our lesson fun with songs and games, I really enjoyed it :)
Greg is a really great student! Always keen to learn and do his best! :)
She listen what you need and help you to get better ! She tries to learn with games and it is not boring !
We studied together to become French teachers. We worked together a lot on creating lessons and animations during three years.
I remember Sarah as a dynamic teacher. She is persevering and innovative with a lot of imagination to captivate even the most reluctant students.
My favorite memory with Sarah in a classroom is when we started the lesson with a Disney song to introduce the theme of dreams to a class that didn't know French. Best time in a classroom ever.
Sarah knows to question herself and adapt to her audience. She pays attention to the needs of her students. She is understanding but has no issue using her authority when needed. She has many years of experience in many different contexts. She wouldn't make a great teacher, she already is.
My 10 year old daughter and I have completed 6 months of french tuition with Sarah. She is a fantastic tutor with an encouraging and positive attitude, and kept lessons interesting for my daughter. We would highly recommend Sarah.
Ses compĂ©tences sont Ă la hauteur de sa motivation... Ă lâĂ©coute, Ă la recherche de nouvelles façons dâenseigner afin que chacun se sente Ă lâaise (en fonction de son degrĂ© dâapprentissage), Sarah est vraiment une super profJe nâai quâune chose Ă dire:Allons-y!!!
Sarah is seriously the best French tutuor I ever had. She's been teaching adults for years and it's absolutely astonishing how you never get bored. She's super funny and entertaining! Best part is she really pushes you to speak Fench all the time and thanks to her my French improved quite a lot
I know Sarah through our work together on ielts test preparation. She is smart, professional, hard-working and fun. French is her first language. She knows more about English grammar than native speakers. I highly recommend her for any job. Elisabeth Benn, teacher.
Sarah is a really fun and enthusiastic teacher with years of experience teaching French as a foreign language!
