About Barney
I have been an ESL teacher for more than 10 years. After graduating in Journalism and working in small business, I decided to train to become an English language teacher. This was the best decision I have ever made, as I love being able to share my knowledge and help others grow theirs.
I worked for five years teaching English in Vietnam, before coming back to my hometown of Melbourne to continue my language teaching journey here. I have taught students from so many different countries and I love learning about the cultures and customs of my students.
I like to create fun lessons with a variety of activities to make my lessons interesting and rewarding.
I hope to be able to share my strategies, knowledge and ideas with you soon.

- Barney's response : Max was very clear on what he needed help with and gave me direction for how our lesson should proceed. He indicated he requires help to improve his reading and writing to prepare for the IELTS test and gave me some examples of his writing so I could accurately diagnose his issues and work on a plan for improvement.
Perfect! Barney is very patient and friendly. He helps me to correct my grammar for my essay even outside of lesson time. I really appreciate it. Will definitely recommend him as a English tutor.
