After working as a primary school teacher, I travelled to Japan to teach English as a second language. My love for this profession developed and strengthened over 5 years. Returning to Australia, I continued on with my new career, and have now taught ESL for over 20 years. Additionally, I can assist with general literacy tutoring for both primary and secondary school students. Areas include: grammar, spelling, vocabulary, reading & writing. I am very passionate about this work and love seeing the progress my students make.

Suzie was my English teacher at Lexis school Noosa and thanks to her I passed the Cambridge exam. She was without doubts the best teacher I had there. Not only because of the way she explains everything, but also because you can feel she loves her work and this is transmited in the classes. Thanks for parience :)
Suzie is an excellent teacher. She brings out the best in students and makes them take an active part in the lessons. Even without any motivation to learn you are inspired by her enthusiasm and love for her job and you cannot help yourself than enjoy her lessons. Personally, I benefited so much from her teaching and she definitely helped me pass the English proficiency certificate:)
A wonderful teacher
Suzie was my first English teacher in Australia when I came here in 2008.
I couldn’t speak any English and it wasn’t easy for me to learn with other young students, and that sometimes upset me.
I kept going because Suzie always helped me understand and encouraged me to keep going.
She is calm, patient, kind, warm and happy and everyone loved her, as we had such a good time learning, not only English but also about understanding and enjoying everyday life.
Since then I have done IELTs, Childcare and Business courses in Australia, none of which would have been possible without Suzie.
I’m so happy that we have kept in touch over the 13 years since we first met, and she has been a great influence on my life by helping me learn so many things, and of course so importantly, about English.
She is a wonderful teacher and person
I attended Suzie's course with a poor English base. She is always ready to help an individual with additional learning material. Her different approaches to exercises made my learning more interesting. Very professional.
Suzie made my stay in Australia even better than it already was. With her excellent teaching skills she made sure, that everyone in her class passed the proficiency exam with ease. Not only did she prepare us in the best way possible, but she also managed to keep us motivated and thrilled to attend school. And us as a class being extremely energetic and quite fidgety, needed someone like Suzie to keep us under control. I wish there was a way to revisit Suzie in Australia to thank her again because what she taught me and the whole class in those 3 months is something I will never forget.
She is definitely such a kind soul! Always ready to help and work through your English insecurities. Suzie was most certainly the best teacher I’ve ever had!! She would always make learning such a fun and enjoyable moment, which made my English skills increase so rapidly and made me feel like learning a new language doesn’t have to be exhausting or boring. Today I love learning more new vocabulary and reviewing all the incredible worksheets Suzie used to give me and notes I made while being in her class. Thanks Suzie for motivating and encouraging me to keep getting better ;))
She's a kind teacher who welcomes anyone and everyone no matter what, you always feel welcome, she helps you wherever possible and makes sure that you can achieve whatever goal you've set yourself.
Suzie originally trained as a Primary School Teacher. She later moved on to work with ESL students and subsequently spent five years teaching English in Japan. On her return to Australia she began working with a language school in Queensland.
Teaching is her passion. She was always very popular with her students and her classes were well attended, the students enthusiastic. She baked cakes every week for her students, and took an interest in them on a personal level.
She eventually reached a higher level of ESL teaching and taught Health Professionals wanting to improve their English.
Suzie is passionate about animals and lives on a farm with her four cats, and many chickens and ducks. She is gentle and patient with children. She lives a healthy lifestyle in the country. Unfortunately the Language School she had worked at for many years closed down when Covid-19 struck.
I know she would be a wonderful teacher.
As her mother, I can vouch for her character.
I have worked with Suzie for many years and she is a gifted, highly-skilled teacher. She has a fantastic rapport with her students and they often maintain contact with her long after they have completed their studies. Suzie is an expert in her field and I happily recommend her to anyone wanting to improve their English!
