In the classes, you'll learn Music Theory, Synthesis, Instruments, Structure and Arrangement, EQ, Processing, Effects, Workflow, and more, everything inside Ableton Live.
I usually speak with the student first, to understand what's their objective and experience with music. From there, I can start teaching according to what they told me.
If it's a beginner, first I will explain audio and necessary hardware to start, go through the software (Ableton) showing functionalities and basic things around it. After the basics, we can start a track from scratch, maybe using a reference that you like.
If you already know how to produce, we can start with more technical and advanced stuff to improve your production skills, like kick and bass relationship and processing, Drums mix and processing, synthesis, audio recording, mix, and workflow techniques to make you finish your tracks faster.
I have always been changing my routine in order to get the best result in music production, and that includes getting up early, reading, eating well, playing sports, and practicing a lot to keep a balanced body/mind and I always try my best to share everything I know that will make a difference for my students.
I've been involved with music my whole life, but with 19 years old I really got into Electronic Music, especially Psy-Trance, when I discovered it during my University studying Economics back in Brazil, around 2012. After the first contact, I spent a couple of years attending many festivals in Brazil, and when I finish my course in 2016, I decided to start DJing and come to Australia to live a different experience somewhere else.
In Australia, I decided to study everything I always wanted to: Music Production. I started a Diploma at SAE - Byron Bay in 2018 and finished it in 2019. At this time, I could learn a lot of things inside and outside school, changing my life forever.
Now I'm in Melbourne looking to develop my music with other producers and also share my knowledge with people interested to learn. I'm still studying by myself, developing my own music, and teaching friends and other people. My focus is on the production of Psychedelic Trance music, but I can help you with any kind of Music Production using Ableton Live.
I believe that in addition to learning music, we need to learn how our mind works and what we are willing to change in our lives to achieve something so difficult that requires creativity, technique, mindset, and workflow.
Feel free to send me a message if you wanna listen to some of my productions.
I can go to your place, $10 - $20 plus depending on the location in Melbourne.
Perfect! My experiences with Igor so far are fantastic!
Thanks to him I am developing a solid foundation in beat production, workflow, song structure and Ableton in general.
It's nice to have someone with the skill set you are looking to develop that you can talk to and bounce ideas back and forth with not just during the classes but between them too which is another excellent perk about working with Igor.
Thanks again mate! Looking forward to our next class!
Igor totally opened my mind about Psytrance music production with very good techniques and knowledge about the production process. If you're looking to develop your kick+bass, arrangement, drums processing, and creativity flow, I strongly recommend him.
Igor has methodically walked me through the processes involved with mixing and production. He has excellent skill and enthusiasm that makes me want to learn. I highly recommend him as a teacher.
Igor is a very patient teacher and skilled DJ. A good combination for learning the first steps in the Djaying world. He patiently guided me through everything that involves mixing on CDJs. I strongly recommend him if you are looking for someone who will really help you during the learning process.
Igor is a great teacher and a really good music producer. I had lessons from him in Byron Bay and would highly recommend him if you want to learn Ableton Live.
