Methodology

Teaching is a balance of interactive activities with written and oral tasks, discussion times and quiet times. Interpersonal engagement is central to each lesson supplemented by online forums, hard and soft documents which are incorporated into each lesson. Online teaching via ZOOM for example is conducted one-on-one or in a group setting where peer discussions and reviews are central to learning. Activities are focussed on current curriculum and school texts.

Background

I am a qualified solicitor educated at UNSW with over 30 years experience working with adults and young people. I have been a private tutor for many years in Sydney and Queanbeyan teaching infant, primary and high school English. I am also a Cambridge University graduate in teaching English to non-English speaking adults.

Rates

Travel Fee : $5

Rate for online lessons : $20/h

Rate for 5 hours of lessons : $130

Rate for 10 hours of lessons : $250

Details

Senior High School may incur higher fees.
A 24 hour cancellation fee may apply, subject to particular circumstances.
Travel beyond 20 kms may incur a higher travel rate.
