I like to make my lessons as engaging, relevant, up-to-date and interesting/entertaining as possible. I use a variety of modes/media to convey the message and usually have a few revision questions thrown in at the end to help with your studies.
I have been a tertiary educator in the health sciences for 14 years. I have a PhD in Biochemistry (Otago, 1997) and a teaching qualification from UCOL, NZ (2011). I also have two years’ experience in learning support roles (Open Polytechnic of NZ). In my most recent role I was Course Co-ordinator for the Bachelor of Biomedical Science degree at ACU, Brisbane (2014-2017).
I am an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills and teaching experiences at institutions in NZ, Australia and the Middle East. I have taught biology, chemistry, biochemistry, anatomy/physiology and other subjects related to human bioscience.
