My teaching approach always considers the specific needs and experience of the student. From the basics in music theory and composition to more advanced subjects, I'll always make sure learning is structured and paced appropriately. You'll learn many of the theoretical aspects of theory/composition as well as growing your own unique approach to learning about and writing music.
I love students who are passionate and are eager to learn. I have three main teaching methods; AMEB, Suzuki, and my own method that includes a bit of AMEB and Old School Russian teaching. All methods include basic techniques that you will need to learn on the violin, including; music theory, scales, and technical exercises.
My lessons are aimed at school students whom are struggling with any aspect of music. Due to my comprehensive background, I am able to cater to any level and any area of music. I track lessons and progress using a file that both the student and I can access, and ensure we work together to modify my teaching plan to ensure the best results.
Every lesson is planned ahead of time and can incorporate sight reading, tablature, chords and other technical skills, depending on student. Type of lessons range from teaching song writing techniques to support students to write and develop their own music, to instrument-focused technical skills.
The kind of students my lessons are geared towards is those violin beginners. My lessons would be basic and easy to understand. First step is getting to know those notes and after that is the scales. Afterwards is some practice songs.
My teaching method is focused on the interests of each people, so, if you want to sing and play, play rock, classical music, jazz or experimental music, I can apply the correct method for your training. I'm only the tutor, you put the rhythm of the classes.
Cienna is a passionate and enthusiastic music teacher who aims to unlock the musical potential in all of her students, inspiring them to progress and achieve their goals. Her dedication to music extends into her lessons by using a blend of technical and musical tuition. I am very passionate about music and music teaching.
The lesson is fun and engaging, to encourage learning. Starting immediately with the instrument. The lesson is divided in 3 parts: - Exercises to improve sound quality - Exercises to improve the instrument technique - Musical reading exercises After each lesson, I assign homework to do for the next lesson. It is advisable to practice every day for at least 30 minutes.
I base my classes on the student's individual ability and learning style. Over time I will get to know the student better and tailor my lessons to suit their needs. I believe that learning must always be a positive experience.
The types of methods that I use to teach my students are through the AMEB grading system and Suzuki methods, this may also include other teaching methods like solfege, forks song, and technical improvement exercises. I am a great teacher because I set my lessons up with progressive achievement each student can learn and develop.
I have a very relaxed approach to teaching. I am very able to adjust to each individual's wants and needs, and we can plan our lessons according to what you want to learn and play. Lessons will be fun, and probably best suited for early primary school aged kids or beginner level pianists, or just people wanting some extra help on their dream pieces. **Student must have piano at home.
My students appreciate my patience, my flexibility and my well-preparedness. I have helped many students achieve their musical goals. Every student has different dreams and circumstances. Together, we will find an individual practice routine that works for you. Discover if the stage calls you or if you want to use music making as an amazing therapeutic tool.
- I am kind but tough as i want the best outcome for my students - I make it fun and creative working as a team to allow students to relax - Musical Theatre is my strength - I am geared towards all students of different ages - Teach mainstream and disabled
- I am using Suzuki method for beginners - Students generally start with this method, and along the way, different methods will be added to enhance the learning curve.
I focus my teaching on beginner piano, learning to play pop songs on the piano to accompany your singing, and conversion to playing pop songs for classically-trained musicians. I endeavour to make each lesson fun and creative, and I tailor my lessons to individual needs.
Lessons are tailored to what my students are passionate about in music. We'll keep a lesson diary to check in with how you're improving and I will write exercises for you to practice in your own time outside of lessons.
I base my classes on what everybody wants to learn making it fun and not tedious, for example if somebody wants to play professionaly ill teach him more theory and technique than some one that wants to play just for fun in that case ill teach songs and exercises for them to develope their hands skills and be able to play with good technique fast
Engaging and positive teaching approach to promote fun and effective learning. I always make sure the basics of piano playing are adequate before a student moves onto playing more technical works. I do this by demonstration and by making sure there is improvement after every lesson.
My musical history has elements of classical and jazz (and folk and reggae etc etc) - I personally love to explore all kinds of genres. I am a huge advocate for tailoring a students' learning to the styles they enjoy best, and exploring different musical avenues as the student progresses and becomes curious about different things.
It is my belief that in order for effective learning to take place, children must be under consistent conditions in which they feel safe, engaged, and feel free to extend and consolidate their learning (at home with their families/friends).
Qualified, experienced and passionate musician and teacher. Master of music, Bachelor Berklee college. All aspects of guitar & music theory including songwriting. My teaching methodology focuses on making sure that each learning exchange is catered to the learning style of the pupil.
I teach an engaging song based method, which is customised to you. Teaching you how to play a song you love as soon as possible helps with your confidence and is overall more enjoyable. I can teach a range of songs and styles which help you with the correct technique, building a foundation of songs while introducing helpful theory. I can also teach you through AMEB studies.
My lessons are fun and as casual as possible. Depending on your goal in studying with me I will design your lessons so we reach that goal while working at a pace most suitable for you. From kids participating in school band programs to adults and teens wanting to learn Jazz, Blues or Pop I will create individual lesson plans to suite your learning style. AMEB on request.
I have a creative and flexible approach and have highly developed musicianship, vocal, stagecraft and performance abilities. By setting realistic expectations and using positive reinforcement, I aim to create a fun environment that is conducive to learning for both child and adult alike.
Hi there! :) I am Wyandrhine and I am an 18 year old high school graduate from Northpine Christian College. I believe my music education in and outside of school, practical experiences, self-learning, and my enthusiastic and outgoing personality would make me your great tutor.
I teach students of all ages and experience levels, from beginners to advanced sight-readers. I help students achieve their music goals, by setting targets and teaching music genres which motivate them to practice (i.e. popular songs or film music). I also help students work towards completing AMEB exams and technical work.
Beginners to Advanced I will be teaching at your house, on your kit at a mutual pre determined time. A stereo, and a rubber practice pad would be advantageous to the lessons . I require my students to have a music stand, good lighting and a digital metronome. You will also need to photocopy sheets I give out (or purchase books you might need. If you choose..
When teaching, I place great importance on a trusting relationship. Patience and kindness are key to students' enjoyment of learning and I recognise that all students require a totally individual approach as everyone learns in their own way and at their own pace.
My teaching method is always focussed on the needs of the student. It's my job to find out what you would like to learn and how to best help you achieve your musical goals. Whether that simply be learning a few of your favourite songs or delving deep into musical theory and the technical aspects of the instrument.
My teaching method depends on the student. I transform my guitar lessons in a way that best helps my students gear in with the lesson focus. For the first few lessons, it will be treated as a calibration period, where I can estimate what the student is good at and areas they need to work on.
