My lessons are aimed at school students whom are struggling with any aspect of music. Due to my comprehensive background, I am able to cater to any level and any area of music. I track lessons and progress using a file that both the student and I can access, and ensure we work together to modify my teaching plan to ensure the best results.
Guaranteed to help each student find (or re-find) their footing and confidence in music, my lessons are always based on the individual's needs. I ensure there is always growth, positivity and fun throughout each session. My lessons are designed to develop musical awareness with a mix of theory and aural skills as well as provide the confidence to compose and create original musical works.
My teaching method is a mix of all the things I have been taught by coaches over the years and my aim is predominantly to help you find your voice and teach you how you can use it.
My methodology is based on giving my students the tools with which to correct their own technique so that they can create a captivating performance using a bank of ideas and skills that we cultivate together and don't just end up feeling overwhelmed. I also place a strong emphasis on talking about the music my students like and encouraging exploration in to those areas.
The types of methods that I use to teach my students are through the AMEB grading system and Suzuki methods, this may also include other teaching methods like solfege, forks song, and technical improvement exercises. I am a great teacher because I set my lessons up with progressive achievement each student can learn and develop.

Lessons are tailored to what my students are passionate about in music. We'll keep a lesson diary to check in with how you're improving and I will write exercises for you to practice in your own time outside of lessons.
It is my belief that in order for effective learning to take place, children must be under consistent conditions in which they feel safe, engaged, and feel free to extend and consolidate their learning (at home with their families/friends).

As our lifestyles become busier, flexibility with lesson times is the key and with our business model of many teachers available we can accomodate families with multiple students with ease. We can offer great lesson times and have families attending their private lessons at the same time - private lesson with multiple teachers.
My teaching methodology is based on the Orff principal of teaching through movement, play and improvisation. Teaching the foundations of theory through fun methods of playing music which then gives the child confidence in their ability to make and understand music theory when they are ready.
Steelband, Steelpans and the musical culture of Trinidad & Tobago. Private musical tuition using steelpans is already hugely successful in America, music is taught to a group without the teaching constraints of players all being on different instruments. Steelpans do not require an immediate minimum level of physical skill to play so the students are able to grasp the music more rapidly.
Lessons cover all relevant material that is needed in becoming a great musician. We will cover theory, song analysis, transcription and correct playing technique. I believe in providing a fun, stress free learning environment where the learner feels comfortable in trying new content and therefore gains confident in their instrument.
I have always believed that finding the students best learning method is the best teaching method. So, I would start the tutoring using base lessons to figure out what their knowledge on the subject is and how they respond to certain teaching styles. I would then cater to the needs of the student(s).
From the beginning you'll learn how to hold the instrument safely & effectively, to play notes and chords and scales. Then how to read music & play it, understand it & how to make it achievable & enjoyable ! If you are more advanced, you can learn tunes from recordings and from the page. I'll help you arrange & record your music & songs. or Prepare you for Music Examinations & Performing.
I try to ensure that my students are happy while learning. This makes the learning environment easier to be in and encourages learning outside of lessons. I believe it is vital that the student understands what they are learning in tutoring sessions and do not believe in doing their assignments for them.
If you need to prepare for an audition, get better at sight reading, acquire experience and improvisational skills we will assess where you are and what you need to work for getting where you need to be. Let's get to work together.
* WE ALL SHARE A PASSION FOR MUSIC. * EVERY STUDENT IS DIFFERENT. * I LISTEN TO WHAT YOUR "GOAL OR TARGET" FOR SINGING/PERFORMING IS. * WE EXPLORE YOUR STYLE AND RANGE. * WE LEARN AND WE GROW THROUGH THEORY AND PRACTICE.
My teaching method is casual, informal and friendly. I have found in my experience that when it comes to out of school teaching environments, the less like "school" it is the better people of all ages respond. I like to work backwards from goals and formulate lesson plans based on what my students would like to achieve.
I use vocal exercises and the songs are structured to accommodate all ages and singing levels. I give them basic keyboard lessons. I record them singing. They get feedback by listening to their recordings. The students learn to listen and analyse their own voices and improve their singing by listening carefully and correcting their mistakes themselves.
I teach the Voiceology Australia '10 Essential Lessons for Easy Singing' which, is a thoroughly tried, tested method with guaranteed results providing effective practice takes place. This method will allow you to sing any song you want in any genre without hurting your voice.
I tailor educational material based on the individual students' progress to encompass a variety of essential aspects of musical approach and practice. For many freelancers and newcomers it can be difficult to tap into the pragmatic facets of the art, this program is here to assist and fill in the blanks where ever they may be.
During my lessons we will focus on you, and what you want to sing. The same teaching method doesn't work for everyone, and I will tailor my lessons to what you want to sing. If you're brand new to singing and want to develop your voice, or if you just want to develop your jamming skills, we will make a program that works for you.
I teach VIOLIN, PIANO, VIOLA and HARP. My main philosophy towards instrumental lessons is to keep things entertaining! There's nothing worse than being bored by music. I also focus on students' individual needs as learners and work around that.
Having learnt the violin for most of my life, I know how challenging (and rewarding) studying music can be. Sometimes you just need it explained differently or someone to show you, which is where I would like to help.
I am a lover of nature and the Arts and my teaching philosophy is all about communicating beauty and expression in music. My pedagogy focuses on helping students become artistically expressive and technically proficient. The joy of understanding and playing beautiful music will enrich your life, develop the brain and enhance wellbeing. I am able to teach all ages, stages and genres.
My teaching method is a combination of skills obtained from teacher training with the International Yamaha Music Foundation and knowledge gained from ethno-musicology research. I use the "I-do, we-do, you-do" approach.
My teaching methods really focus on providing the knowledge and understanding that is required for the student to know about music components of theory and practice.
