David is an amazing teacher- he really breaks down the fundamentals well, has had a fun and creative career too! He was able to tell straight off the bat where I need to improve- I needed some more foundational structure applied to my work, and he gave me many exercises and ideas for this- including a really good grounding in shape language. He also introduced me in ways to free up and experiment with my shapes. This helped me a lot in figuring out how to approach my work, and has changed the way I think about my work completely. He's kind, calm and patient and also gave me some cool references to art I had not come across before like The Cobbler and the Thief and Tim Biskup! Highly recommend!
