About Alex

Hi! I am a friendly, passionate undergraduate student who achieved an A* in Geography A-level. I am fresh out of A-levels and GCSEs - this means that my memory of the course is fresh and up-to-date with the current specification and it also means that I understand the intense pressure caused by these exams and can relate well to students. I only tutor Geography and English as these are subjects I am passionate about and more able to teach, however I also got Grade 8/9 in all of my other subjects so can help with other work on occasion if required. I really just want to use my knowledge to help out where I can. I myself tried tutoring for English Literature during Y10 and found that it can be difficult to find younger, relatable tutors who know the current specification. This is where I can help! Let me know if your interested I'm open to helping in anyway I can :)

About the lesson

My approach would probably be lessons from 30-60mins to preserve attention (I'm aware it can be hard past that to focus) and I'm flexible with how we approach things. We could either work through the whole specification or just help out with work that students don't understand - whatever works best really. I have learnt though that the key to high grades is good exam technique so I would make sure that this was sorted either by the school or myself to make sure students reach their full potential.
