Hi! I'm a masters student offering chemistry, maths and english lessons online or in person
Methodology
My sessions will be very much tailored to what the students need: how much they know and whether they need help with understanding concepts or answering questions well, or both. Before the sessions, I will find out which topics the students want to look at, and find the necessary resources so that I am prepared for the sessions. These materials will be a combination of textbook, class notes and online resources. During the sessions I will give an overview of the topics and we will go through questions together to highlight issues and misunderstandings. Students will be free to ask any questions as they come up.
Background
I'm currently a masters student, studying chemistry at the University of Bristol. I have a strong academic background and have always enjoyed sharing my knowledge with others. I have had previous experience mentoring and tutoring and from this I have gained skills in understanding what a student already knows and explaining what they don't. I am patient and clear in explaining things, and I am good at knowing what an exam board is looking for in a student's answers.
I'm also more than happy to give general advice about school, university applications, studying abroad during your degree (I've just spent a year studying in the USA) etc if this is wanted.
