About June
My passion for Mathematics developed gradually through years of engaging with logical problems and structured thinking. This interest led me to pursue an M.Sc in Applied Mathematical Studies, where I deepened my understanding of mathematical theory and practical application. Over 11 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students across elementary school math, middle school math, SAT math preparation, and early Calculus, helping them move from uncertainty to confidence through patient guidance. I approach teaching with a strong belief that every student can understand mathematics when explanations match their learning style. I take time to listen carefully, observe how learners think, and adjust my approach accordingly. Using visual models, step-by-step reasoning, and relatable examples, I help students break complex ideas into manageable parts. I encourage questions and emphasize that mistakes are an important part of the learning process. Outside teaching, I remain actively engaged with mathematics through continued study, problem-solving practice, and curriculum development. Teaching Math is deeply meaningful to me because I consistently see students grow in confidence and independence. Helping learners trust their logical abilities and develop a positive relationship with mathematics is the most rewarding part of my work.

Mathematics becomes more approachable when students are given time to understand ideas deeply and see how concepts connect. My lessons include elementary school math, middle school math, geometry, algebra, SAT math, and Calculus, all taught through clear explanations and structured reasoning. I focus on helping learners recognize patterns, understand relationships, and approach problems calmly rather than relying on memorization. Lessons are supportive, well-paced, and designed to build confidence gradually.
Lesson structure is adjusted to each learner’s level and needs. Elementary school math focuses on number sense, arithmetic accuracy, and understanding word problems. Middle school math introduces geometry concepts, proportional reasoning, and early algebra through visual and practical explanation. Advanced learners work on algebraic manipulation, SAT math strategies, and introductory Calculus concepts, emphasizing logical flow and accuracy. Practice activities are carefully selected to reinforce understanding without overwhelming learners.
Maths lessons also strengthen patience, focus, and problem-solving confidence. As students gain clarity, they become more comfortable tackling unfamiliar questions independently. Many learners begin to see mathematics as structured and manageable. My goal is to help students feel confident in their reasoning and capable of long-term academic success.
