A medical doctor currently studying at the University of South Australia has a special interest in teaching Hindi, Maths and Science.

Methodology

I teach as per need to the student, I would like to give relevant information rather than just making them overloaded. I also believe in making a good communication with students to give them a clear message. In addition, giving them a good example of the topic matter.

Background

I am a medical doctor currently studying Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Sonography at the University of South Australia. I have completed Masters of Public Health from Southern Cross University, NSW. I am a motivated person with an aptitude for good medical practice and can deliver the best patient and community care. Furthermore, I have a special interest in teaching students and junior colleagues.

Employment Experiences
Position Title: Medical Assistance
Date: March 2017 – May 2018 (Current)
Responsibility: I drive to the patient home along with General Practitioner when patient suffering from illness and injury. During the consultation, the Doctor may decide that the patient requires medication. One of my other duty to carry doctor’s bag stocked with starter packs of various medications, so if needed, the patient can get started on the treatment straight away.

Position Title: Medical Observer
Date: May 2017 – April 2018
Facility: Salisbury House Medical and Dental Centre,16-20 Gawler St, Salisbury, SA 5108.
Responsibility: I did an observation of consultant’s interactions with patients (history, examination, requesting investigations, diagnosis, treatment). Familiarised with medical software and specific documentation in a GP Practice. Familiarization with the patient management in the primary care settings, gaining insight into the approach to the patient, specific medical procedures, diagnostic and management, as appropriate record keeping.
Reviewing, discussing and case studying with the supervisor and colleagues around the important clinical and ethical cases (discussing the Differential diagnosis with the supervisor after each case, asking for clarifications from the supervisor)
Observing the application of infection control procedures, assuring patient confidentiality and ethical behaviour. During the time, exposure to Australian colloquialisms (slang, euphemisms, etc. I learnt how to address and serve the needs of patients from a multicultural origin including Aboriginal and Torres Islanders.

Position Title: Customer Contact Officer
Date: Oct 2015 – February 2017
Facility: Trion Services Pty Ltd, 175 Arden St, North Melbourne VIC 3051
Responsibility: worked as Customer Contact Officer and senior educational advisor where I talked and explained to students over the phone about the most suitable education course for their carrier. I delivered services that enable access to education for students in need and liaised with them for the best available options available for them. Working as a part of the team and finishing the given task in a timely manner was the paramount importance during the job. My duties were also typing letters to customers for weekly mail and organising meetings.

Position Title: Volunteer - Transport Navigator
Date: August 2015 – October 2015.

Responsibility: As a part of Barwon Health Volunteer Transport services we provide a range of escorts services to enhance the wellbeing of Barwon Health consumers

Position Title: Customer Contact Officer.
Date: Nov 2010 – August 2014.
Facility: Smart Utilities, West Melbourne, 3003.
Responsibility: Working Inbound and outbound calling business and promoting a suite of products across Victoria was the best job for me where I have developed my communication skills and learnt Australian way of English and their culture. As per company protocol, my other duties were typing letters for weekly mail out, meeting sales targets and KPIs by adhering to the market code of conduct for telemarketing.
I also work as a senior team member where I take a call to junior representatives and explain and solve complex situations and to develop and motivate the sales team.

Position Title: Lab Assistant (Diagnostic Pathology Lab)
Date: August 2006- May 2010
Facility: Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology, St Vincent Specialist medical Centre, Lismore NSW Australia.
Responsibility: Working as a Lab Assistant in SRA, I assist with the analytical process by preparing specimens for analysis and set up tests which the scientists and technicians later review and interpret. I assisted in haematology as putting right tests and specimen in laboratory information systems.

Position Title: Resident Medical Officer (Medical Hospital)
Date: January 2001 – June 2006
Facility: Worked as a medical doctor in different hospitals in India including Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, New Delhi, and Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital New Delhi.
Responsibility: Working as a medical resident doctor, my main duties were to prepare health records for admission, while working in Dept. of Surgery and Anesthesia I did pre-admission bookings and associated paper works for electives and Emergency admissions. To make patients discharge report, Photocopy health records when required, File Pathology, Radiology and other general correspondence, File health records, maintain and re-order stock from the supply

Skills: I am competent at IT Skills using Microsoft Office and SPSS.
Interests: I have interest in painting, sketching and Calligraphy. I like to read books and enjoy cooking food. I also like travelling to new places, knowing about different cultures & meeting different people.
