About ABDALLAH
I have a doctorate in veterinary medicine. I have been tutoring since high school in various subjects such as Math, Biology, Physiques, Chemistry and the French language.
During my graduate college years, I was teaching Senior Veterinary Technicians different topics in veterinary medicine, including, physiology, anatomy, microbiology, etcetera.
I was a French teacher at Inlingua in Ridgewood NJ for over 5 years, tutoring students in one-on-one sessions, group sessions, on site as well as at corporate site for all levels. I thought from beginner, intermediate, advance students and helped others prepare for a specific goal. For example, I helped an opera singer with no knowledge of French, to phonetically prepare her for her show with French songs. Also, a priest needed to refresh his French knowledge to prep his PHD thesis in French at Princeton University, NJ.
In parallel to my teaching at Inlingua, I was a French teacher at the East Rutherford Adult Schools for over 10 years for groups from 8 to 20 students for beginner, intermediate and advance levels for spring and fall sessions.

My teaching method is knowing my student(s), their needs and what material we will use for our courses.
I like to make my students comfortable, interact with them as much as possible and try to avoid to speak/translate in English.
In some instances, helping my student to dive in the French language and get him/her to think in French could be our ultimate goal.
I always adapt and adjust my teaching to the need and degree of retention of my student(s).
My philosophy in teaching always has being teaching a person how to fish is better than giving him/her the fish.
