I hope this listing finds you in good health and safety for you and your loved ones. Schools and universities are doing everything in their power to ensure that students are getting the best education under the current circumstances. This is not to say that it is increasingly difficult to learn especially for those in their final year of school. I am a lab teacher at UWA and have been a part of the transition of moving to the online teaching environment. Along with my years of tutoring/mentoring experience for year 11/12 Math Methods, I am proposing to move my services online to help as many students as possible in a one-to-one online environment using Zoom.
I will be using the same software that UWA use (Zoom) which takes 5minutes to setup from a student’s point of view. Zoom is an online meeting chatroom where I can share screens with other students and communicate via microphone and webcam. I will also be following the strict ethical formalities that UWA propose when conducting teaching in this online environment.
Below is more information about me and my lesson structure.
I provide detailed and intuitive notes on every chapter that is covered in the math methods syllabus. This will build the foundation of knowledge required to start tackling practice problems and is what I base my teaching on. The images in this advert show a sample of some notes to get an idea of the quality and structure.
I also provide practice tests and exams (with worked solutions) from schools all over Perth including Scotch College, Churchlands and St Mary's. These papers offer a way to apply knowledge and give students a good guideline to the types of questions that will appear in their own tests and exams. Students will learn how to correctly structure answers to maximise the number of marks.
I have 1000 hours of tutoring experience with over 15 students and have been very successful with them. One of my students made the newspaper for her outstanding achievements in yr12 (see ad images for reviews). I also give great advice and information involving university for any student with future goals. I also know people studying law, medicine and engineering if further guidance is needed.
I am always in contact, even off-hours, to help with any quick problems or concepts so do not hesitate to ask!
I look forward to teaching!

An ordinary tutoring session can be split into 3 steps ...
This is where we thoroughly go through the content in a chapter. I will provide printed notes for each lesson.
Practice Problems (70%):
We will complete a range of problems from a textbook or practice papers (which I provide) to apply our understanding of the theory. I will show how I would complete particular problems and set answers out so good habits are made to collect maximum marks in tests/exams.
Summarise and Plan the next lesson (10%):
We will revise the main notes of the theory and recite the harder problems. The next lesson will be planned here.
In my time tutoring, I have taught high school level mathematics, physics and chemistry. I have also taught maths at a university level for some students learning at UWA.
I have gained valuable teaching knowledge and mentoring techniques over my 4 years of tutoring. I have gained over 1000 hours of teaching experience and now want to focus more of my time on teaching high school students in math methods so they get the maximum marks to smash the WACE examinations at the end of year 12.
- $70 /hr or,
- $90 for 1.5hrs
To justify my rate, I have over 1000 hours of tutoring experience. I also provide typed notes on every chapter for my students as well as practice exam papers with prepared solutions. This takes a lot of behind the scenes preparation. I also am in contact off hours for students to ask questions as they please

Current study ...
I am currently studying at UWA and was fortunate enough to have been issued a $5000 scholarship that also grants me an assured pathway into engineering. I have completed 2 PHYSICS and MATH units in my first year.
I have now completed my undergraduate degree in software engineering and computer science. Currently doing postgrad in Data Science.
On top, I try to tutor as many people as possible and always search for new ways to help students and improve my tutoring game.
