Oxford English literature and language graduate offering English tutoring up to university level

Methodology

I base my teaching on the understanding that while understanding and enrichment is the primary goal, students often require targeted assistance for achieving certain grades from tutoring, and so the application of knowledge towards remits set by mark schemes and exam boards is also often a priority.

Background

I have a degree in English Literature and Language from Oxford University, I have tutored children in phonetics and tutored sixth formers for the Oxford English entrance exam ELAT, where I covered analysis of poetry, themes, techniques and literary criticism.

See some of the articles on events I have visited or covered; Modigliani Tate review – ‘a delight to walk through'; Basquiat brought to life at the Barbican; The art of sex in fashion at the Met; It's Fashion, But is it Art?; X-Rated? I have also recently written a short film screenplay exploring the intensity and romance of female friendship and have been working with a friend to adapt Willa Cather’s Great Plains Trilogy for television.
