Although I teach toward a classical education, my students are welcome to play many different styles of music. Presently, we are exclusively online and while there are a few different skill sets that are required (mostly technology related), my current students are doing exceptionally well. I offer a comprehensive course which includes music theory.
We are experiencing interesting and yet somewhat stressful times. I believe that learning an instrument helps to lead the mind to positive and thoughtful problem solving and that the result of that kind of focus is a sense of accomplishment and healthy self esteem.
I would love to teach you, or your child, how to play the piano!
My studio was established in 1988, and it is still going strong. I am a member of the "American College of Musicians" which conducts the annual "Guild Auditions." Many of my students have participated in these assessments and scored very well. My early years were spent playing for community theater, weddings and school concerts, and later serving in the role of Music Director, Worship Leader and pianist/keyboardist for various churches. During all those years I've maintained an active piano studio and am currently teaching in Olympia, Washington.
