I have developed effective and innovative instrumental and theoretical teaching concepts for students in practice and performance strategies, exam preparation and, most importantly, student ‘ownership’ of their music studies. My teaching style in delivering successful instrumental and music language programs, particularly in performance and music theory, has always been aimed at authentic and relevant outcomes for students.
I am a highly experienced instrumental piano/voice/vocal ensemble director teacher who enjoys successful student outcomes in both performances and examinations. I hold a Bachelor of Music degree, A.Mus.A.(Pianoforte), Post Graduate Diploma in Film & Television Composition and Master of Music Composition. My expertise is grounded in the delivery of VCE/AMEB practice and theory, Trinity College practices, VCE music studies, Popular/Contemporary Music syllabi and Tertiary teaching processes.
I have a comprehensive understanding of the V.C.E Music Performance (Group, Solo & Music Styles and Composition) study design, have a considered background in performance and am a published composer.
