My teaching method goes hand-in-hand with my approach to my own acting work which is based on a thorough deconstruction of text/character to fully understand the wants, needs, objectives and obstacles throughout the play, as well as an awareness of self within the work and how to connect on an emotional level to the characters story.
Drama School Entry - If this is the area you wish for us to cover in our sessions then we shall implement much of what is above in the session as well as general audition technique, something as simple as entering a room the wrong way can make all the difference between a yes and no.
Drama Exams (RADA, LAMDA, Guildhall) - If this is the area you wish for us to cover in our sessions then we shall look at the needed criteria in great detail. What is needed for each exam, not just from an acting point of view but also an academic point of view to ensure the highest possible grade. You may be a great performer but if you can't talk about the piece afterwards then that can be all the difference between a pass and distinction.
I can offer advice on material that you wish to use within the session that you have selected or if you have no material yet I can provide pieces for us to look at.
