Maths - repetitive practice; learn the techniques and practice them, firstly in simple situations, once a student has mastered simple problems, I will progressively increase difficulty level. As a student is progressing, I will give them a unfamiliar problem solving question. I will link this back in with the techniques and repetitive practice we have done.
I have been working as a classroom Maths, science and junior business teacher on the Gold Coast for a little of six years now. While teaching I have tutored for the students I teach, as well as tutoring outside of school. I have experienced success such as one student moving from a D+ to B- from term 3 to 4, and another from a C to A- over the same period.
Having worked as a teacher, I am aware of the requirements of students regarding curriculum. I am also familiar with the workload students experience on a broader scale.
I am able to tutor: from from prep-year 12 high level maths, first and second year university maths; senior (11-12) physics (selected strands), first year univeristy physics (selected strands).
