My approach to music is to evoke a similar passion in my students to my own. I like to ask what they're interested in learning or what issue they want to tackle and then figure out an approach to help them get to where they want to be.
As a teacher of music one of my own missions is to showcase the importance of music theory and how notation is such a valuable universal language. My strengths are within this area and in songwriting, more specifically lyrics and arranging. I am an advocate for creativity and believe all students and people interested in music should be allowed this kind of expression.
I am a singer songwriter coming to the completion of her music performance degree in which I master as a vocalist.
Through high school I took on various extra curricular activities such as choir, musicals, soul band, concert band and flute ensemble and have completed both VCE music and up to Grade 5 AMEB piano. I frequently love assisting my peers with music theory and taught primary students piano in 2019.
My plans for the coming months are to commence a double degree in both drama and secondary teaching :)
