Hi,
I'm Matilda a 2025 high school graduate looking to make a little extra money in my gap year by tutoring music theory! I achieved the grade A in Music Studies and have achieved my AMEB music theory certification to grade 5. Music is my passion and I understand that a lack of theory knowledge can hinder playing so I'm here to help.
I can teach the beginnings of theory including sight reading, harmonization (4 part vocal and piano), set works and more! I also can provide assistance with piano and vocal technical exercises such as scales. I am a pianist and vocalist but my theory lessons can be modified to students of all instruments.
I work closely with the AMEB syllabus to get you ready for your beginner exam (if you desire) but my lessons are still fun and suitable for a social player. I have experience teaching young children (aged 4 to 14) so I am sure to make music theory engaging for your child.
A typical lesson runs for 1 hour - though this is reduced for very young children - and can be both individual or run in a group of students at a similar level.
