During the first free class, I carefully listen to my student to understand his or her needs and expectations, so that I have a clear idea of how we will structure the classes. Every student is unique, so each class is different and we can target different aspects such as grammar, written comprehension, conversation, writing intensive etc.
Very often following a poorly structured methodology and sloppy explanations, students struggle in class and the lack of self-confidence is also an obstacle that is difficult to overcome alone. My goal is to fill the student's gaps through a personalized methodology, structured according to the needs and objectives of the student. I am here to put you in confidence and allow you make visible progress in a short span of time and have fun while learning a new language!
I can help you to study for your exams, language certifications (DELF, DALF, GOETHE, FIRST, TOEIC, IELTS), as well as test and oral presentations in school.
In terms of educational experience, I helped students at very different levels, helping them organize their work and showing them that they could succeed. A language test is always proposed during the first courses in order to define a well-structured methodology.
Hi! My name is Margot and I'm half Italian, half French 3rd-year student currently studying International relations at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. I studied for two years at Sciences Po Nancy Franco-German Campus in France (4th best university in the world for political sciences) and I will obtain my Bachelor of Arts in spring 2019. I give lessons in French, Italian and German.
I have taught more than 600 hours of classes on the websites "Live Mentor" and "Qwerteach". I was one of the most experienced mentors in the subjects I taught. Hence, I have a good experience and I was able to develop a real teaching methodology while adapting it according to the age and needs of my students. I worked as a teacher in German and English at the 'English Pro' language agency in France for 2 years. My students were aged between 3 and 60 and I gave both individual private lessons and group lessons. I provided a three-month German training for a group of adults. Their goal was to get a good mark in the German Professional BULATS and improve their writing and speaking skills. Some of them were quickly able to find work. I was also a teacher of extracurricular German and English in various elementary schools.
I lived 17 years in Italy and I obtained 97/100 in the ES baccalaureate, obtaining 30/30 in the oral exam of the Italian baccalaureate. From the age of 10, I took part in many study trips to the United Kingdom (Worcester) and Ireland (Loughrea and Donegal). I started to take English classes online when I was 10, so I have been a big fan of online courses since then! Passionate about languages, I'm currently learning a fifth language, Brazilian Portuguese self-taught.
Margot is a great teacher who knows exactly what she is talking about and who knows how to take the time to explain in detail and correctly the points on which I had difficulties.
Thanks to Margot I was able to progress quickly and it was a great help to me.
Margot is one of the rare person I trust to teach me. Margot is an outsanding teacher who has the dedication, the patience and the knowledge necessary in order to help anybody improve!
Margot is an excellent teacher - she is very reliable, patient and competent. She has given me a lot of confidence in speaking and I have made a lot of progress thanks to her. She explains everything so comprehensibly. I have loved learning with her!
