Whether you're preparing a HSC piece, preparing for an audition, or need to improve your technique - I'm here to help. I'm not keen to put myself on the 'teacher' pedestal or to refer to these sessions as 'classes' - I'm more of an impartial collaborator. A fresh pair of eyes that can help you hone and shape your technique. I believe in the importance of curiosity and engagement by the participant - I have no interest in just talking at you for two hours! This will be an active and exploratory session.
Firstly, I’ll have a chat with you before the session to find out who you are and work out what kind of learner you are, and ask a few questions about what inspires you and what you’re working on. From here I'll create a personalised lesson plan tailored to your needs.
For example, for monologue work, I'll ask you to send me a copy of the piece so that I can do some background research. Our session will then begin with a quick chat and a comprehensive warm up. Then, we'll break down and investigate the piece together before getting it on the floor. If spoken direction is of no use, we can work with sound, images, or personalisation.
The structure of lessons will obviously change depending on what's required!

Hi! I’m a third year BFA student at the Actors Centre Australia; where I train on a daily basis under the tutelage of industry experts in movement, voice, acting, and other disciplines.
I've wanted to act since I was about five years old after watching Harry Potter and deciding I was to be a wizard. Years later, here I am still pursuing the craft.
Before ACA, I travelled abroad completely alone at 18 years old, (where I lived in London for two years learning how to be a human), studied Vet nursing for a brief period (purely just to spend time with cats), and attended camera classes at the Sydney Actors Collective in Enmore -before a chance opportunity to audition for drama school arose!
I want to pass on all the little tricks I've picked up at ACA, and that I wished I knew when I was out there in the world auditioning and studying.
My methods can help with:
- audition preparation
- public speaking
- HSC assessments, where I'll act as an impartial guest director to help hone and shape your piece
- script breakdowns and character analysis
- vocal resonance and grounding the body
- confidence and creativity
Full disclosure, I'm brand new at tutoring and am here to gain experience in teaching. My first lesson is free!
