I believe in a ground-up approach to teaching. It's vital to make sure students really understand the fundamentals of the subject matter, before going to details and higher-level problems. I will help you achieve this by precise questions and making sure you can reason out every step of the processes.
I am a PhD candidate (Applied Chemistry) at RMIT University, where I was also awarded a BSc (AppChem) (Hons) with First Class Honours (H1C). My research is already published in peer-reviewed journals.
In addition to my academic credentials I have teaching experience both from personal tutoring as well as working as a demonstrator in the teaching labs here at uni, where I've taught both university and high school students.

Perfect! Hayden is very good at explaining things in a way in which a very new student to chemistry (me) can understand. I liked that he really drilled home the idea that you should understand why something is done the way it is done. He clearly has a very good understanding of chemistry and I would recommend him to anyone.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to spend much time with Jeni, but I found her friendly, attentive and excellently prepared for our session. I wish things had turned out so we could have more lessons together!
