About the lesson
Targeted at year 10 to year 12 students.
I will previously analyse subject curriculum and syllabus in order to provide meaningful and relevant insight into student learning.
Structure:
- Questions about topic: I allow the student to ask questions about the specific topic of study
-Explanation and teaching of topic: After I understand the students current knowledge, I then proceed to build on this through conveying my own understanding of the respective topic.
-Verbal communication about topic: Once I have engaged with the student I then ask them to teach me about the topic as if I am a beginner. I will have them explain to me a topics details etc, as well as ask them questions about it throughout this process. This is a great way of formulating an understanding about an issue and also is used as a strategy for the student to practice conveying their information to someone else.
-Practice Questions: Once all the above steps have been completed I will set practice questions for the student to re-enact a test environment. Once these have been completed I will go through with the student and discuss where they went right and where they went wrong, as well as discussing ways in which they could answer such questions better in the future.

About Liam
I have no teaching experience however I possess a wide range knowledge in the study field of Geography, collected from a wide range of study. I completed year 12 geography with distinction, and from there went on to study Human Geography and Planning at the University of Western Australia. This included the study of geography and human geography units. After a year and a half of this degree I transferred to Curtin University to study Urban and Regional planning to enhance my career prospects. My time at Curtin has mainly focused on geography at the human level, focusing on peoples interactions with the built environment and how the functionality of our cities can be improved. The most diverse period of study I undertook was an academic exchange to Oxford Brookes University in the United Kingdom for the second semester of my second year at Curtin University. This experience provided me with a diverse understanding of urban geographical functionality and a whole new perspective on my field of study.
