Methodology

Ideal for children who seem to understand plot and limited ideas on themes but not connect to broader and more concepts. My aim is to have you think critically, conceptually and academically in the English subject.

One option is discussing a theme you know about but don’t have any ideas on it outside of plot- related ideas. I can discuss this with you and ask critical questions that aim to make you think and re-evaluate your approach to the topic.


I can also mark your essays and responses ( I can suggest topics in relation to your book study or you can choose to pick any of the broader topics to practice your essay writing) in class or before class depending on my personal schedule and then I give feedback and discuss it with you afterwards. It’s not focused entirely on the literacy and writing aspect, but to brainstorm ideas and to articulate them well into your writing.

I really want to help children who seem to struggle at English through early highschool.

I would like to coach year 8-10 english but am also open to other grades ( senior year 11 & 12 will have different prices and only be eligible if I have studied the same courses and modules)
